Oh be still my heart. I love everything about this Hamptons home, except the price tag of course. Richard Gere’s 6.3 acre estate in North Haven, New York is listed for $65 million. Unfortunately that’s more than 65 times over my budget! This home has over 300 feet of waterfront space. Wow! The main house was built in 1902 and has been renovated and expanded. Additionally there are two guest homes, and three separate lots. Paradise found. This teahouse is set in the middle of the pond, overlooking the coastline. Gorgeous. If you’ve read my blog before you probably already know that I’m a huge fan of a screened-in room. This one is just perfect. It’s large and has multiple ceiling fans! There are so many great outdoor spaces to focus on with this home. This outdoor fireplace pavilion is amazing! And, another overhead fan. I’m obsessed with outdoor fans since I recently read they keep mosquitoes away. The perfection continues in the kitchen. All white with a barrel ceiling and tons of overhead lighting fixtures. The kitchen has a modern country feeling with white painted cupboards and a farmhouse sink. While this estate has 12 bedrooms, 12 baths, and 12,000 square feet, they’ve done a good job of making it feel more intimate. The rooms aren’t overly large. Curbed Hamptons described the home as a “fairly unpretentious, but very nice house.”I like the large amount of windows and the grand piano. But, if I had to be critical about something—I have to say I’m not a fan of some of the furniture selections in this room (hello high arms on that yellow couch) and the Roman shades and curtains are boring! The bedrooms are a welcome retreat with double doors that open up into outdoor spaces. I had to include just one more outdoor space with this spectacular property. Another pool with a natural setting. I reminds me of Reese Witherspoon’s pool!To see even more images and get more details on this home visit the listing here.
